Your rights as a service user:
If you have a concern with the service you are receiving please bring the information to our attention. You can talk to your worker, share your concern with any Nogdawindamin employee, or provide details of your concern through this website. All concerns are addressed in a standardized manner following the agency’s policy on service complaints.
If your complaint has been approached with the agency and you are still not satisfied, there are other avenues that can be explored.
The Ontario Ombudsman Children & Youth Unit resolves and investigates complaints about any matter concerning children and youth receiving services from Ontario children’s aid societies, residential care homes, group care homes, secure treatment facilities and youth justice facilities. If you believe that your privacy and access to information rights have been violated and the agency has not provided a sufficient solution, the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario may be able to assist you. If your complaint has been addressed by the agency and you are not satisfied with the solutions provided, given certain criteria outlined in the Child, Youth and Family Services Act (2017) the Child and Family Services Review Board (CFSRB) may be able to help.
